ABOUT GFWC - MICHIGAN
The General Federation of Women's Club was founded in 1890. It is one of the world's oldest nonpartisan, nondenominational women's volunteer service organizations and it is well into its second century of volunteer service in communities throughout the United States and the world. GFWCMichigan was organized March 20, 1895. GFWC Michigan was admitted to the General Federation of Women's Clubs December 27, 1895. GFWC Michigan celebrated their centennial in 1995.

The General Federation of Women's Clubs Michigan is dedicated to enhancing the lives of others through volunteer service.
Our Purpose:
The purpose of the General Federation of Women's Clubs Michigan is to unite the women's clubs of Michigan in service projects which enhance lives as well as improve communities, by creating and diffusing an enlightened public opinion, while focusing on today's community needs and concerns.
